Claire completed her BSc in Chemistry at Sheffield Hallam University and her MSc in Green Chemistry at the University of York. Between her second and third years, she spent twelve months as a QC chemist for a pharmaceutical company in Skipton. Her master’s project was on the valorisation of Spent Coffee Grounds as a potential replacement for palm oil in the cosmetics industry.

Outside of university, Claire enjoys boxing, reading crime novels and swimming.
