PhD Project Title: Computer modelling studies of new materials for lithium and sodium batteries

Ben graduated from the University of Bath in 2020 with a MSc in Chemistry. During his degree he spent a year on placement, studying the physical properties of various plastics to be used as electrical cable coatings. In the final year of his degree, he studied the ability of chromium-based complexes to catalyze the polymerization of olefins with Dr Randolf Kohn. In his spare time, Ben is a keen basketball player as the captain of the University of Bath’s basketball team.
