Ciarán graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2016, having previously worked as a chemist across various fields at the Guinness Brewery, Marine Institute, Cranfield Defence and Security and the Ministry of Defence. Since coming to Bath, Ciarán has worked with the BIOBEADS project. This has included working towards new methods of producing cellulose microbeads and exploring their utilization in the field of agronomics. Ciarán took his placement with Scottish space-tech firm Skyrora as part of the UK Space Agency SPIN internship programme in 2021 and will be returning full time as an Operations Engineer in 2022.
