Ciarán Callaghan

Ciarán is a Plymouth University chemistry graduate who has accrued experience across a number of scientific areas. His experiences include a summer bursarship in the Irish National Reference Laboratory for marine biotoxins and working as an analytical chemist in the Guinness Brewery at St James Gate, Dublin. Previous to joining the CSCT he conducted research on graphene-doped nitrocellulose-based solid rocket propellants under the umbrella of the Defence Equipment and Support arm of the Ministry of Defence. When time allows he is known to practice clarinet and drums but will more likely be found on a hill in the South West. In the future he hopes to work at the interface of academia and industry.
