Supervisor: Rick Lupton (Mechanical Engineering)
Supervisor: Stephen Allen (Architecture and Civil Engineering)
Cormac graduated from University College Cork, Ireland, with a first-class BEng in Process & Chemical Engineering, followed by a MEngSc by research in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Direct Air Capture via pressure swing adsorption. Following his Master’s, Cormac relocated to London where he has been working since 2019 as a Sustainability Consultant at the Carbon Trust, specialising in corporate sustainability and working with large corporates (5+ FTSE100) to design sustainability strategies, including footprint calculation (Scope 1, 2 & 3), target setting, and reduction pathways.
Outside of talking about climate change, his interests include reading, music, and watching his favourite team, Charlton Athletic, concede late winners with both of his hands on top of his head.
