Joseph Paul-Taylor

Joe completed his Masters in Chemistry from Cardiff University in 2018. This included a summer studentship funded by the Royal Society which was a collaboration between SASOL UK and the Easun group. The project was an investigation into carbon monoxide injection into post-synthetically modified metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). During his time at Cardiff, he was involved in a collaborative project between the Easun group and EPR/ENDOR Spectroscopy Research Group, in which the project aim was to use EPR to characterise copper paddlewheels within MOFs. Outside of work Joseph enjoys playing the tuba, piano as well as hiking.

  • Metal-organic frameworks for the delivery of biocompatible molecules with Professor Andy Burrows, Professor Tina Düren, Dr Catherine Lyall, Professor Len Barbour (Stellenbosch University) – PhD Project
  • Using porous materials for the targeted delivery of semiochemicals with Professor Andy Burrows and Professor Tina Düren – 1st MRes project
  • Interfacial effects in composite adsorbents for hydrogen storage with Professor Tim Mays, Professor Andy Burrows and Professor Chris Bowen – 2nd MRes project
