Rachael Andrews

Rachael graduated from the University of Bristol with a first class undergraduate degree in Chemistry. After a year travelling in New Zealand, Rachael decided to follow her passion for green chemistry research and joined the CSCT in 2018. In her spare time, Rachael enjoys travelling, hiking, and being outdoors.

  • Detecting synthetic cannabinoids through synthetic and analytical routes with Dr Chris Pudney, Dr Ian Blagbrough, Dr Simon Lewis and Professor Stephen Husbands; Industrial Partner: TicTac Communications Ltd. – PhD Project
  • Development of bio-sourced, sustainable materials – biopolymer microcapsules, process and product co-developed with Professor Davide Mattia, Professor Janet Scott and Professor Karen Edler – 1st MRes project
  • Detecting synthetic cannabinoids through synthetic and analytical routes with Dr Christopher Pudney and Dr Dave Carbery – 2nd MRes project
