Supervisor(s): Simon Tang (Life Sciences), Jody Mason (Life Sciences)

MRes Project 2: Towards Sustainable Synthesis of N-Heterocycle Drugs

Supervisor(s): Alex Cresswell (Chemistry), Sourav Chatterjee (Chemical Engineering)

Rohan graduated with a MSci in Chemistry from the University of Bristol in June 2022. He conducted his MSci project in the Booker-Milburn/Aggarwal group, where he investigated the synthesis of spirocyclic molecules from photoredox-catalysed ring-opening of strained bicyclo[1.1.0]butanes.

Shortly after, he worked at the drug discovery CRO, Sygnature Discovery, based for 2 years in the chemistry department at their main site in Nottingham. During which he worked on client and internal synthetic organic chemistry projects.

In his spare time, Rohan endeavours in playing video games (both singleplayer and multiplayer) and collecting Lego clone troopers.
