Stuart Scott

Stuart completed his MEng (Hons) in Biochemical Engineering at the University of Bath in 2018. This included a year placement at Unilever (Port Sunlight), supporting and leading projects to try and make Persil better. During his time at Bath, he completed a research project using a polymer foam structure to support a zeolite for low pressure-drop gas adsorption. He also completed a final year design project producing a novel probiotic ice cream product, with emphasis on the milk homogenisation technique. Outside of work Stuart enjoys fencing, climbing and making bread.

  • Novel escape mask filters using monolithic type structures with Professor Semali Perera, Professor John Chew and Professor Andrew Burrows; Industrial Partners: Avon Protection, DSTL and Carbontex Ltd; International Partner: University of Melbourne – PhD Project
  • Development of low-burden structures with physical and chemical adsorption properties for air purification with Professor Semali Perera and Professor John Chew – 1st MRes project
  • Engineering a better-than-nature catalyst, based on enzyme mimetics with Dr Dan Pantos and Dr Christopher Pudney – 2nd MRes project
