West of England Sustainable Technologies Scale-Up Programme – Tree Planting and Networking

Join the SETsquared team and staff from the University of Bath as they help Co-Forest in its mission to plant 10,000 trees this winter.

This is a unique opportunity to discover how your business can help make positive steps towards a more sustainable future, find out more about SETsquared’s support for low carbon innovation and network and connect in the great outdoors. This fun and informal planting morning will give you a chance to get your hands dirty and be part of a legacy that generations will benefit from for years to come.

Agenda

  • 9.45 Arrive, introductions and meet fellow planters
  • 10.00 Briefing and instructions from Co-Forest
  • 10.10 Small groups to plant new trees and maintain the trees already planted
  • 11.10 Warm up with a hot drink by the fire pit
  • 11.20 Continue with planting
  • 12.20 Join us with your lunch at the picnic tables around the fire pit, chat and connect further
  • 13.00 Depart

All equipment is provided, except gloves and hot refreshments are available throughout the event.

A toilet is available on site.

Items to bring

Your own gloves, lunch, snacks and thermos (optional).

Places for this event are limited, therefore please only register if you can commit to joining us on Friday 11 February.  This event will take place unless there is heavy rain, snow or a hard frost.

Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email detailing directions to the location, FAQs and a PDF information sheet.

The West of England Sustainable Technologies Scale-Up Programme is hosting this event. This programme is funded through the European Regional Development Fund and provides a package of support to businesses in the West of England in any sectors that are developing low carbon technologies or looking to make their products or services more sustainable.
