Virtual Networking event: Measuring Sustainability

This virtual networking event will discuss elements for successfully measuring sustainability, aimed at start-ups and SME businesses.

Environmental, social and ethical impacts for businesses are an important aspect of business planning and this event aims to enable you to plan strategically and embed measurable sustainable aspects to your business.

There will be a presentation from an Academic at the University of Bath’s Architecture & Civil Engineering Department, followed by a Q&A expert panel session.

AGENDA:

  • 8.30am: arrive with coffee and croissants to network (via breakout rooms) with other attendees.
  • 9.00am: Dr Stephen Allen, Lecturer, Dept Architecture & Civil Engineering, University of Bath.
  • 9.15am: Interactive Q&A expert panel session (panellists TBC). Hosted by Pete Keevill, Entrepreneur in Residence, STBAH.
  • 9.30am: Another chance to network via breakout rooms with other attendees.
  • 10.00am: Finish

Get to know your speaker and panellists:

Dr Stephen Allen is a lecturer and engineer working in the fields of whole life carbon, life cycle assessment (LCA) and energy-systems analysis. His research focuses on radically reducing the carbon footprint of the built environment, by tackling both embodied and operational emissions.
